Our chefs source the finest ingredients from Manchester’s independent producers to craft fresh, low air-mile menus featuring a range of delicious small plates.
Highlights include our very own Lock 84 IPA, brewed exclusively by Salford’s Seven Bro7hers craft brewery, and Worker Bee Coffee, roasted just a few steps from the hotel.
Our Breakfast
Start the day with our à la carte breakfast menu, featuring favourites such as a hearty plated Full English or our stacked Manchester Muffin. If you have a sweet tooth, indulge in Belgian waffles with berry compote and a dusting of cinnamon sugar.
For something truly unique, try the Floddie—a traditional potato cake once enjoyed along Britain’s canals more than 200 years ago.
Guests can also explore our Lockkeepers Table, offering a tempting selection of local breads, cereals, cheeses, yoghurts, and fresh fruit. To complement your breakfast, we serve fresh fruit juices, Worker Bee coffee, BrewTea loose-leaf teas, and a range of uniquely flavoured waters.

Our all day dining menu is a delightful adventure where small plates take the spotlight. Expert each visit to be a unique journey with our Executive Chef Chris Hall using fantastic ingredients and suppliers at the heart of all his team’s culinary creations. Lock 84 restaurant is situated with views of Lock 84 on the Rochdale canal, part of the ‘Rochdale Nine’ and is led by Executive Chef Chris Hall and his team.

Step into Lock 84 at The Reach at Piccadilly for a quintessentially British afternoon tea—elegant, indulgent, and full of flavour. Delight in delicate sandwiches and handmade desserts, each crafted with care and culinary finesse. The highlight of this timeless tradition is our freshly baked scones, served with rich clotted cream and fruity preserves.
Enhance your experience with a Canalside vies, where you can watch the narrowboats drift by at a leisurely pace.

Our bar sits directly behind our welcoming hotel reception, Lock 84 is perfect for those fast- paced lunch meetings, energetic pre-event drinks or catch ups or quieter more relaxed nightcaps. Our Cocktail menu is inspired by the ‘The Rochdale Nine’ a set of locks running through the heart of the city, we also showcase our fantastic wine offering, which is made of great examples of all regions & styles of wine, and a great selection of contemporary beers.
